Amazon Affiliation! - Dec. 16
When we shop online, the first place we look is Amazon. The prices can often be far
better than local purchases, depending on what you want. Also, with the free supersaver shipping,
it's even more affordable. We have purchased the majority of our Christmas gifts from Amazon. If
you're buying books, videos, toys, etc., things that don't have to be tried on, it sure beats going
to the malls in this hectic season. You can also find used products for even less. I purchased a
used college textbook and it was still in great condition and saved me a bunch.
We recently promoted our
Academic Superstore
affiliation, and although
we saved big on academic versions of software over purchasing at Amazon, their savings tend to be only if there is an academic
discount. However, if you're purchasing books and things that don't have an Academic discount offered,
Amazon prices can be better than theirs. So check out both places before making textbook purchases.
We recently ordered 4 college textbooks for our daughter and Amazon had the best prices, better than
the Academic Superstore
(Academic Superstore
has the best software academic prices), and far
better than the local college bookstore. So shop around and save!

New Keyword Boolean Search - Dec. 9
We have added a new boolean KEYWORD SEARCH
!
Be sure to try it and check out the SEARCH HINTS! This feature is now available to all,
but may eventually only be available to sapphire and ruby members.
IP Locations Database Updated - Dec. 8
We have installed a new IP Locations database today with 5-10% of the records updated.
Academic Superstore Affiliation! - Dec. 6
We are proud to affiliate with the Academic Superstore and offer discount
textbooks for students and faculty.
All of my daughter's college textbooks were available at huge discounts. As well, her college
art instructor said the graphics tablet we wanted to get her was much better quality and cost
far less than the one they had purchased for their computer lab. So compare these prices before
spending anymore on school supplies!
We saved hundreds of dollars on her graphic's suite software that included photoshop,
photo paint, illustrator and more! So check out the books and software! Some products require
proof of being a faculty member or student, and others don't.

December News!
Educate Yourself!
Many of our members are getting to where they can detect a scammer. Please take the
time to educate yourself as well. We provide methods of detecting scammers. When you
LOG IN to our site, you are taken to our What's New page, which has a listing of
current scammers, along with any details about them. We include excerpts from emails
and their profiles so that you may become acquainted with their ploys. As well, we
provide the member's IP Country within their profile. In most cases, if they say
they're from the United States, but their IP Country is not, then they are likely a
scammer. Of course, remember, we do have missionaries who travel to other countries.
Also, if you review the known scammers, you will notice the photos have a distinct
look to them... not the girl or boy next door, but super model in flavor.
We have a great reputation for being the safest site on the web, and these are
just a few reasons. We thank God for protecting us many times over, so let's continue
working together and be prayerful and careful.
Bottom line to remember: If money is involved, whether asked for or offered, RED FLAG!
If it looks too good to be true (young, very attractive female interested in an older
man, it likely isn't true). If they claim to be from the U.S. and have an advanced
education, but don't know the language, likely it's bogus. Use that link at the bottom
of the profile to report them!
Scammers typically hit our site the most on Saturday mornings (about 2-5 scammers).
We detect most of them automatically, but by the time I get home in the afternoon,
about 50 members have already reported the most recent scammers. Good for you!
You're all learning! Let's keep it up!
Someone asked me if there is ever a valid reason for someone asking for money on the
site. My answer: "No!" Whether it's the bonafide money scam we're all familiar with,
or someone asking "auntie" or "mommie" for sponsorship for school, it is breaking our
rules, so please report them. (And I don't like it when a 20+ year old calls me "mommie"
anyway, that's enough to get them removed! ;)
