I wanted to take time to thank Shining Star and to let you all know what the Lord is doing in the lives of two more members.

After many long prayerful nights and me wondering if I should renew a lapsed membership with Shinning Star, the Lord opened the doors with a "Random Acts Of Kindness" given to me by the admin. I had just been in prayer the night before about "looking" again after a much-needed emotional break. So when I saw that I was given the chance to have a free membership, I knew that the Lord was opening something awesome for me.

I logged in and updated my profile and my picture, but I did not look at any profiles right away. I wanted to soak it in prayer and wanted the Lord to direct me completely as to what profiles to read and to just give me His knowledge in looking for a possible mate for myself and a Godly dad for my little son. I soaked in prayer for 3 days before logging in again. On the 3rd day I logged in and began scanning through the profiles. I viewed two and just felt no leading from the Lord to contact them. The 3rd profile I opened was a man named Scott. His profile really grabbed me and I saw his spirit and his love for the Lord shine through his words, so I contacted him. I received a reply that day and he too said that what he saw in my profile moved him.

Scott and I exchanged email addresses and within just a few days we were talking on the phone. The Lord bound our hearts quickly and with a strength that could only come from Him. By the 3rd week we were talking about a visit. So, he flew to Arizona and we met for the first time and it was confirmed even deeper that the Lord had brought us together. The last day he was here Scott proposed and I accepted. Scott is moving to Arizona in just 11 days and we plan on being married before the end of the year.

I just want to encourage everyone here to hold onto those principles that you deem important. Both Scott and I had a pretty extensive criteria list. So much so that we both thought we would be single the rest of our lives. But the Lord rewarded us for our faithfulness and we found each and every criteria met in one another!!!
