I wanted to share with you our success story thanks to Christian Singles Ministries. I signed up last year while living in Maryland. I started communicating with a young lady from Florida. Unfortunately we lost contact for several months and I thought it was over but God had other plans for us. Shortly after moving back to NC, she sent me a “free” smile (since she was a basic member) and I overjoyed and she renewed her membership just to communicate with me.

We started talking online and telephone for several months and started to build a good friendship. She had friends living close by and decided to visit me around the end of May 2004. Let me tell you how good God is......her visit with me and my family was awesome and it seemed like we knew each other for a long time. In July, I traveled to Florida to meet her daughter and family and had a great time. After my visit to Florida we both felt that the Lord had brought us together and we wanted to pursue the relationship even further.

Before I tell you want happened after that....she had been desiring to move to NC for sometime (even before we had met) to better her career and enjoy a slower pace of life with her daughter. After our decision to go forward...within two weeks of my visit to Florida, she was offered a job but it was not where she was wanting to move (2 hours from my home)....it was 25 minutes from me! Within two weeks...she had a job, a place to live and my heart. I just want to let everyone out there to claim the promise: ASK AND IT SHALL BE GIVEN...SEEK AND YE SHALL FIND...KNOCK AND THE DOOR SHALL BE OPENED!

Where we go from here....only God knows but we hope we will spend eternity here on earth and in heaven.

I wanted to add to the story and say that the Lord open the doors for me to move and take this BIG leap of faith for a reason and I know in my heart it was the best leap I have ever taken. I also want to let the single moms (especially) to never give up. There was times that I thought I would not meet the “right” guy that would not only love me for me but also a child that is not their own. Don’t give up...the Lord knows when the time is right...just be patient.

Where we go from here....I hope marriage but I will keep you updated. :)
