I really don’t know where to start but I’ll make this short. As you know, I have been a member of your service for many years. I joined after a bad engagement…. After that I decided to try your service. I met some great ladies but the chemistry wasn’t there. After several years I was about to give up and do the unthinkable - settle for someone that wasn’t of my religion. We even set the date. As many of you know, I am a traveling Radiology technologist so I am all over the USA. I decided to take an assignment in Oregon and after that I was to fly to another country and marry a very sweet catholic girl I had met while traveling overseas.
Then one day while in Oregon, a young ladies brother had heard about your site in London England and he asked his sister to Join. She was very reluctant but as she said for some reason the holy spirit was talking to her so she decided to try....Well I wrote her when I read her profile. She was exactly what I had been looking for my whole life. Yes I had a check list and she met all of them: she was beautiful, darkskinned. great smile, worked as a nurse in London - but she told her brother she would only meet guys in London. She didn’t want 2 come to the USA.
Well after I emailed, she emailed me back but would not send a picture, so I decided not to write back. 2 months later she sent a picture...It was love at first sight...We talked on the phone every night from Portland OR to London England... Finally she said the Holy Spirit was telling her she should fly 2 see me since I had 2 stay in Oregon 10 more weeks. When we met at the airport I finally believed in love at first sight. We spent some time together while my mom was visiting and we had so much in common. She too wouldn’t settle..she had a list.....I’m 38 and she is 36. Neither of us has been married before and no kids - very uncommon these days. It was like God had brought us together and if she had not come to Oregon I would have married the wrong woman for the wrong reasons.
I learned one thing...There is that special person in the world but we should wait till God is ready for us to get married and he will supply the right person. He did for us. People laugh at us and say we act like kids in love for the first time and I do. I feel 18 again....and when I say I am happily married I mean it and want 2 tell the world. It’s so nice to sit at church and hold the hands of the woman God has introduced you to. I think I know how Adam felt in Eden now.
Well, to end the story, she flew to NC when I was done in Oregon and I asked her to marry me. We had planned on 4 months but our immigration lawyer said we should marry that day if we really loved each other, then have a big wedding later. He said she could get her RM license in the USA in 3 months if we married that day. We did it. No hesitation. We went out bought rings and we married at a local court house. I called my brothers and they met us there. It was great.
So we have been married for 1 month now and I love her more everyday...We have so much in common. And I have to tell you the chemistry is most definitely there. Thanks to God. So for all of you that are thinking of settling, please don’t. God does have someone out there for you but wait till he is ready and you will be so happy.
I want to thank you again for bringing us together. Without you, I would have never found her and I have to thank one more person, God. I prayed for her and she appeared all the way from London England. Next year we are both giving up health care to open an Indian Restaurant. She is a great cook and I’m a fairly good businessman so that’s on our list and we are trying to have a family so please pray for us. Romela will make a great mom and with God’s help and guidance I will be a great dad.
Thanks again!!!! And one day I want 2 thank you in person. We are taking one travel assignment together in 2 weeks to Maryland then we will get started on our restaurant. In closing, I can say the last few months have been the greatest 2 months of my life. They more than make up the years I was single. We both thank you and love you.
