I joined CSD way back in January 1998, just as you went live on the internet, and I've been with you all the way. Over the years I've tried a few other dating sites but never found anything that worked as well, with real live active people, like CSD.

CSD has been my # 1 successful way to meet potential partners - and it worked!! I wrote plenty of women over the years because if you don't advertise you will never get anywhere (businessman all the way : )

In the process I made a few great friends that I continue to stay in touch with. Naturally I dated several wonderful ladies too. CSD helped me travel to Europe, Asia and around North America meeting new friends. Sometimes meeting in person goes great, sometimes not so great, but it is all a learning experience.

In January 2005 I found a young Malaysian lawyer on CSD. Jackie had just joined recently, and I was the first guy that really made it past an email or two. She was specifically not looking for a North American, but something I said got her attention anyway.

We talked and emailed lots over a few months. Than two trips to Malaysia for me and one trip to Canada for her and we were convinced we were for each other. Actually it was love at first sight, but you got to make sure right? We celebrated our marriage on Oct 2, 2005 and look forward to a happy life together.

We are from different parts of the world, yet we have a shared SDA faith, complimentary education and business backgrounds and a shared vision for life that make us a great match. Our families are very supportive too which is a good sign. So don't rule out dating cross-culturally (if you are of the same faith) because it can enrich your life tremendously.

I am going to miss CSD though - emailing, talking and meeting great people from around the world :) If you are single and looking - enjoy the journey and make lots of friends - the perfect person is out there just waiting to be found.
