I had been working at this plant for 11 years when we were laid off. Company checks were bouncing, my checks were bouncing. You get the picture of how much I was having to pay to get things straightened out. Well, I couldn't. It got rough, so rough that although I prayed for strength from God to help me, I felt no help was there for me. The devil was trying his very best to get to me. He almost succeeded.
I had two outside dogs, 3 inside dogs & had to call the city pound to come pick up the outside dogs for I could no longer afford to feed them. No one wanted my chows. They were good dogs, but the only people who wanted them were the ones who would train them to fight. I could not live with myself if that happened. It so hurts me to this day almost 2 years later that I sent them to their death. There just wasn't anything else I could do.
I was living on sugar toast which is pretty good every once in awhile, but when you have it 3 times a day for two weeks, it isn't much. I had no money, my systems were being cut off, phone, lights, you get the picture. I was still praying though & it was getting to be so bad at the house.
I was weak from lack of nutrition, no money, no food, no job, no nothing. Then an idea came into my head that would help solve everything for me. Get in my car, go down the road as fast as I could, lose control & crash where upon I would die. Or would I? God intervined at this time & caused me to focus on my grandchildren who are my heart & He knew that they would bring me out of this. It worked. I got help from a food bank here in town, at the same time I found a job, some people that knew my situation were sending me some money. Hey! I could buy some groceries.
My point, is, fellow christians, no matter how bad things get, there is a God. His son Jesus died for us on the cross & He will always be there for us even though we think that we are alone in this world. I pray for each & everyone who is reading this that they may find answers to their questions & problems in life. Sometimes we won't find the answers like we would want them, but with God at the controls of your life, he won't stear you wrong.
